Cecilia Mondelli
Dr. Cecilia Mondelli is Global Head of CCUS at Sulzer, where she develops technologies for CO2 capture and utilization to produce green materials, chemicals, and fuels since 2022. In this role, she leverages on a broad expertise in chemistry, engineering, material science, and sustainability gained throughout a 14-year academic career at the Institute for Chemical and Bioengineering of ETH Zurich, Switzerland, culminating with a Lecturer position assumed in 2016. In that time, she designed heterogeneous catalytic systems which efficiently convert biomass and CO2 into renewable commodities and energy carriers. She holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry from University of Insubria, Como, and a PhD degree in Chemical Sciences from University of Milan.
