As a Snr Scientist at Sasol, I have over 20 years of experience in the field of catalysis, with a focus on amongst others, olefin metathesis, Fischer-Tropsch synthesis and CO2 conversion. I have a PhD in Chemistry from the Eindhoven University of Technology, and I am experienced in materials science, surface science, synchrotron techniques, and catalyst characterization.
I have a proven track record of delivering technology packages and scaling up catalysts, as well as providing operations support and competitor evaluation. I have led multiple catalyst and process projects, and I have initiated, built, and maintained external collaborations with academic and industrial partners to achieve project goals. I am currently leading Work Package 3 on CARE-O-SENE, an international consortium to understand and accelerate the scale-up of cobalt-based catalysts for producing sustainable aviation fuels. I am passionate about catalysis for sustainability and innovation, and I am always eager to learn and share my knowledge.
