Alexey Fedorov completed his undergraduate studies in chemistry at Saint Petersburg State University (Russia) in 2005 and received a Ph.D. for his work on gas-phase ion-molecule reactions under the mentorship of Prof. Peter Chen at ETH Zürich in 2010. After a postdoctoral stay at the California Institute of Technology with Prof. Robert H. Grubbs (2010-2012), he returned to Zürich to work with Prof. Christophe Copéret (D-CHAB) as a Post-Doc, Oberassistent, and then Habilitant. Since 2018, he has been a Senior Scientist at the Laboratory of Energy Science and Engineering at the Institute of Energy Technology, in the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering at ETH Zürich.
